Teacher Comment Banks Reports Added

Since PT Pro in PS 12 allows teacher comment banks, I created some new reports showing that data.  Originally I was just going to create ones that deal with PT Pro, but ended up creating a couple dealing with PTG as well because teachers can have PT Pro import their comments from PTG.  However, there are some changes to comment lengths in PT Pro, so the PTG reports help users see length information for each comment.  The reports are on the Gradebook Reports page and here's a breakdown of the reports - 3 are for the teacher portal and 3 are for the admin portal.  The first two are free and the other four are for site subscribers only:

  • Teacher Comment Banks (PST) - a report that teachers can run to see their comments that exist in their PTG comment bank.  They can show all of them or just ones that may get truncated given the length limits of the PT Pro comment bank.
  • PTG Teacher Comment Banks - a report that admins can run to see comments in PTG teacher comment banks.  Like the one above, it has the option to only show comments that may get truncated.  Can be run for all the teachers at the current school or an admin can choose to run it for just one teacher.
  • PT Pro Teacher Comment Banks - another admin report and it's similar to the one above except it only shows PTP teacher comment bank information.  Can be run for all the teachers at the current school or just for a specific teacher.
  • Comparison of Teacher's Comment Banks - admin report that shows a count of how many comments exist in each teacher comment bank for all the teachers at the current school.  Easy way to find teachers that don't have any comments.
  • PT Pro Teacher Comment Bank (PST) - a report that teachers can run to see information about the comments they have in their PT Pro comment bank.
  • Teacher Comment Banks (PST) - allows teachers to see the comments they have in both teacher comment banks.  Useful if the teacher wants to compare what existed in PTG to what's in PTP.

Next week I'll be uploading some reports dealing with student contacts.

Thanks,

Matt

Update - originally I just had the first report in the list above free but decided to make the second one free as well.
